This orphan has been claimed by: Mary Overbeek

My great, great, great grandmother Mary Curran was transported from Dublin, Ireland in 1842. She came out on the ship Hope with her daughter Ellen aged 6 years. It appears Ellen was placed in the orphan school. Mary Curran was born abt. 1812 in County Galway. She was married to John Curran. They had 3 other children left in Ireland. It would be great if I could find out what happened to these children and their father. It would have been during the famine in Ireland so life was desperate for these families.
