Ellen Halfpenny, who married convict John Smith, I believe was my GG grandmother.  Their daughter Margaret married John Brown and lived in Launceston.  I would like to hear from other people with links to the Halfpenny family.

Ellen Halfpenny was my g-g-grandmother.  I am descended from her fourth child (third daughter), Ellen Franklin Smith born in Launceston on 30 June 1859.  Ellen F Smith moved to Victoria where she married George W Lane on 23 February 1881 at Prahran, Melbourne.

I am interested to hear from others with links to the Halfpenny family.
