Hi there,

I have recently discovered that Aaron is half brother to Amelia Jones (2883)

We first thought Amelia was the baby that arrived on the Mary in 1830 with mother Amelia Jones/Farmer ( married Richard Williams per Earl St. Vincent), with further research we discovered from the surgeons report the child was a boy who she refused to wean at the age of nearly 2 while she was on her voyage to VDL.

Baby Amelia 2883 was born in 1833 after Amelia's arrival and while she ran a disorderly house (according to her conduct record) as was admitted to the school in 1835.

Baby Aaron was discharged in 1842, the year after Richard and Amelia's second daughter was born in Bothwell. Aaron went on to marry Mary McCluskey in 1858 and died in Evadale 1904.

Could you please amend Aaron's entry...Mother Amelia Jones, ship Mary 1830

Regards Jacinta Marr
