This orphan has been claimed by: Sandra Mackiewicz

William is my great great uncle: his niece was my grandmother. Along with 3 of his siblings, he spent time here. Both his parents were convicts, and his father died of Traumatic Tetanus in the months preceding the admission of 4 of the children to the Orphanage. Their mother insisted all four of them be admitted, so they would all be together. On admission, their ages ranged from 6 weeks old to 12 years old.

My paperwork suggests the application for the children to enter the orphanage was is 1865, and William was 18 months old. He may have died young - possibly at 16 years old, but we have yet to substantiate this.
