I am still searching John Prenty, but have found the following.  His mother died when he was only young as did his sister.  His father remarried to Eilza Brinton whom had a daughter that arrived on the convict ship with her.  John Prenty married Elizabeth Russell in 1874 in Franklin.  I believe he died in Launceston in 1915 but no other details.
