This orphan has been claimed by: Deirdre Mooney

John Hornsey, born c1847,  his mother Sarah was 'tried' 1850, she was in Millbank Prison in  1851, before being sent to Hobart on the 'Duchess of Northumberland' with John & Elizabeth.

I would like to find where these two children were living while their mother was in goal in England,  she may have had older children that were left behind as Sarah was 30yrs.

John & his sister were in St Johns orphanage until their mother was 'free' in 1858.

I have not found John's birth registration, so his fathers name is unknown, although his sisters birth certificate has her parents John Hornsey and mother Elizabeth nee Emery.

The name  Frederick Webb appears on Sarah Hornseys 'indent'.  Was he a husband, and was he Johns father?
