This orphan has been claimed by: Ian Burns

Charles and his brother Arthur were born in Tasmania to Pensioner Guard Arthur Shaw 1808 to 1860 from Cloon County Leitrum Ireland and Julian Horrigan from County Cork Ireland.

Charles died 30 Sept 1876 in Hobart General Hospital from Pulmonary Tuberculoisi and was buried in a paupers grave at Cornelian Bay Cemetery on the 4 October 1876.

His mother had to give Charles and Arthur up to the orphanage after the death of their father.
