Mary Ann was the last member of the family to die, she is buried at Cornelian Bay. Never married, she was witness to her brother Thomas's marriage.

I am a relative of Mary Ann Sherston, through her brother Thomas being my great grandfather. Mary Ann stayed with the Whitebourne family for 40 years, until her death at 'The Towers', cnrs Main & Tower Rds., NewTown, Tas 29 October, 1906.  The family placed a death notice in the Tasmanian Mercury Newspaper on 2nd November, 1906.
